Hodema participated in Beirut International Franchise Forum and Exhibition (Bifex) that was held on April 29 and 30 2014 at Phoenicia Hotel in Beirut Lebanon. The two-day program tackled various topics including economic diplomacy high streets’ revival mediation and arbitration social media bloggers and welcomed high-level and international speakers ministers ambassadors leading legal experts municipality leaders and officials of economic organizations.

For the 9th consecutive year Hodema participated in Horeca the annual hospitality and food exhibition which took place at Biel Lebanon from April 1 to 4 2014. The trade show gathered over 250 companies including catering equipment packaging hygiene pastry and bakery food beverage consultancy recruitment and franchise education as well as the international pavilions.

Hodema participated as Gold sponsor speaker and moderator in the Global Restaurant Investment Forum (GRIF) which took place in March 2014 at Conrad Duabi. Hosted by Bench Events this annual trade show gathers investors hoteliers Food and Beverage brands owners franchisors franchisees suppliers and other key industry professionals across the region. The GRIF conference programme includes over 50 industry leaders expert speakers and moderators who lead debates and share business knowledge on topics such as Food and Beverage openings trends worldwide macro-economics latest global concepts and brands to look out for in the future.

Hodema participated in Gulfood an exhibition gathering 5 000 participants from 120 countries. The event took place at the Dubai World Trade Center in February 2014. This annual tradeshow presents the latest trends and innovations in the food and beverage sectors including foodservice and hospitality equipment in the United Arab Emirates.

Hodema participated in Saudi Horeca the Saudi International food beverage and hospitality exhibition which took place from December 10 to 12 2013 at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center. The event featured a host of activities and shows including workshops and culinary art show and gathered more than 70 exhibitors among which food processing technologies dairy and food processing packaging frozen food refrigeration and thermo processing fruits and vegetables fisheries milk products meat and poultry bakery and confectionery equipment beverages food grains and hospitality consultants.

Nada Alameddine from Hodema moderated the “Women’s roundtable” a panel organized by Hospitality Services on July 2nd 2013 at Le Gray Hotel in Beirut Lebanon. The panel gathered leading women in the hospitality business among which Mrs. Dina Abboud (Partner/Senior Operation Director-Cat & Mouth catering) Mrs. Hala Achkar (Board Member-Monroe Hotel) Mrs. Maya Bekhazi (Owner-The Beirut Cellar) Mrs. Ghada Blanco (Owner-Wedding RS) Mrs. Rana El Khoury (General Manager-Le Gray Hotel Beirut) Mrs. Mireille Hayek (Owner-La Parilla Em Sherif and Yasmina restaurants) Mrs. Aline Kamakian (Owner-Mayrig and Batchig restaurants) Mrs. Lina Lteif (Owner and General Manager-La Mie Dorée) Mrs. Hala Massaad (General Manager-Raouche Arjaan by Rotana) Mrs. Lina Mroue (Owner-Lina Mroue Consultancy) Mrs. Corine Nader (Operations Director-Magnolia Bakery) and Mrs. Michelle Souhaid (Owner-Mandaloun Café). The purpose of this roundtable was to exchange experiences and opinions by tackling various topics and discussing the challenges facing women in the hospitality and tourism business.

Hodema participated in the Beirut International Franchise Forum & Exhibition (Bifex) that was organized by the Lebanese Franchise Association (LFA) and Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal and held at Phoenicia Hotel on April 17 and 18 2013. This edition took place in conjunction with the World Franchise Council meeting in Beirut where delegates from Franchise Associations around the world met to promote collaboration and discuss the latest trends in franchising.

For the 8th consecutive year Hodema participated in Horeca the annual hospitality and food exhibition which celebrated its 20th anniversary. The fair which took place at Biel Lebanon from April 9th to 12th gathered more than 300 companies from France Iran Italy Poland Thailand Turkey Jordan Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Lebanon Syria Sri Lanka and The United Arab Emirates.

For the 7th consecutive year Hodema participated in Horeca the annual hospitality and food exhibition. The fair which took place in Biel Lebanon from March 20 to March 23 gathered more than 350 companies from Bahrain Egypt France Iran Italy Jordan Kuwait KSA Lebanon Poland Sri Lanka Sweden Syria Thailand Turkey and the UAE.

Hodema participated in the 2011 Beirut Marathon that was held on Sunday November 27th as part of its corporate social responsibility initiative. Hodema team members took part in the 10 km run for fun race. Proceeds of this event went to humanitarian organizations.

For the third consecutive year Hodema participated to the 7th annual Arabian Hotel Investment Conference (AHIC) as Gold sponsor. AHIC 2011 took place from April 30 to May 2 2011 at Dubai’s Madinat Conference Centre. As member of AHIC advisory board Hodema helped in shaping the conference’s themes and seminars’ content. Karim el Asmar Hodema’s Founding Partner moderated a panel session entitled “Regional Leader: A Focus on MENA’s Emerging Markets” which gathered Mr. Neil George Vice President Acquisitions & Development of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Mr. Guy Crawford Chief Executive Officer of Jumeirah Group Mr. Selim el Zyr President & CEO of Rotana and Hawazen Esber Chief Executive Officer of Bena Properties. The main focus of AHIC 2011 was to bring international hotel and regional industry experts together to debate the changing sector landscape and to help identify intelligent and targeted investment opportunities. In 2011 AHIC brought together over 500 senior executives from over 30 countries.

Hodema participated in Horeca’s 18th edition for the 6th consecutive year. This yearly hospitality and food exhibition which took place in 2011 from March 29 until April 1 at Biel featured numerous sections among which catering supermarket & laundry equipment supplies furniture fixtures & design tableware uniforms technology packaging consultants recruiting & franchise schools & universities cleaning & maintenance. Horeca gathered 350 participants among which 280 Lebanese exhibitors. This year 12 countries participated in the event which also greeted 3 international pavilions: France (as guest of honor) Turkey and Poland. The number of visitors in 2011 reached 25000 against about 15000 in 2010.
